We received updated photos of Abigail Mae this afternoon! She seems happier and pudgier than in her referral photos. We think we will travel the first of May, but still won't find out for sure for a couple of weeks.
You're so lucky to have updated photos! I doubt if she's pudgy at all-don't be surprised if there isn't a petite little thing under all those clothes. I never met a people who like to layer like the Chinese! My travelmate couldn't even let her daughter's ankles show above her socks without someone stopping to fix it for her and to cover up that poor baby so she wouldn't catch cold. We were in Beijing in October but you would have thought we were in northern Mongolia with the layers.
Oh she is so cute! Reminds me a lot of our daughter when she was a baby. That beautiful round face and plump cheeks. My daughter now will tell us "kiss my Chinese dumplings Momma" which means to smother her cheeks with kisses! I also love the one little pigtail on the top!! I know your ready to have her in your arms! Becky www.babygirlbennett.blogspot.com
All of our hopes and dreams came true the day we held our daughter Natalie, now 7, in our arms. Nothing compares to the joy we experience as Natalie's parents. We found ourselves longing to adopt another child from China. Natalie needed a little sister. Years later, we have been blessed with a dream come true. We are thankful that God chose us to be Abigail's parents. We are excited and anxious about our trip to China to be united with Abigail. We are leaning on our faith in God to carry us through this journey. Pray for us all as you follow us on what is bound to be our adventure with Abigail!
